Our Rescues Our Lives
What makes a pet worth saving? What
makes an animal worth saving? What makes a life worth saving? What makes any
life worth saving? What determines a creatures worth? Human or animal; who
decides our worth? Who are we to determine another creatures worth? Who are we
to sit and stand idle, while lives need saving?
Save, save, save
God put us here for reasons we
may never know. We can however be as kind and loving as he would expect us to
be. We can help those who cannot speak or help themselves to obtain a happier
and better life. We are here to protect and serve; whether it is in society’s
careers or volunteering to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We are
here to save the forest, to save the land, to save the animals, to save the
earth, and in the end to save ourselves and humanity. Our purpose here is forever
changing, but our needs are constant, and do not change.
We always need to save ourselves,
but who determines our worth? Saving is what we do and is always in constant
motion. Prioritize and help all those in need, help those who may need it the
most and always move forward. Moving forward and continuing to pay it forward,
may not change the world. But for that person or animal, you changed their
world. One by one we can change the worlds of those who need us to speak out
against crimes against people, animals and humanity.
For all our known and unknown
deeds we will be rewarded appropriately and God will bless us with more chances
to help save those who need it the most, this proving our actual worth to Him
and share our humanity with others. Why are we here, if not to help each other survive
and live on helping others every day?
All we need to do is to watch the
news and witness the evils that plague our countries. Children murdering other
children for no real reason at all other than to see what it would feel like. They
torture animals or even other children that are simply unlucky enough to be
smaller, weaker, and crossed their path on a day that they were simply bored,
seeking sick entertainment. Being bored, really? Being bored is not a reason to
TORTURE anyone or anything! Blaming it on society; if that is the reason, then
society needs to step up and make a change.
Society needs first to show these
children that these behaviors will NOT be tolerated and they will be punished
(not with a slap on the wrist). Secondly we need to show then; yes get out
there and practice what we are preaching.
Go save an animal or feed the hungry, show our children that we mean
what we say and action is the only way for them to know that we do mean business.
Third, stop being a jackass about other
parents trying to help you raise or even just to educate you on things that did
or did not work for them. This is called ADVICE use it or don’t but it usually
comes with the expertise of someone who has been through it. We all know that
teenagers are the smartest of us all and listen to no one. However, if we SHOW
then through ACTION we might break through and they may actually hear us,
listen to us, and absorb the information and they may even take action of their
own.
When I save my first rescued dog,
it was her sad lose of hope that shot out of her eyes and into my head and
broke my heart. It took years for her to trust us, but it was worth it. In
return she loves me, protects me and makes me smile every day. http://bethevoice4thevoiceless.blogspot.com/2014/11/ritta.html
The second one was not a real
rescue, but we saved her from being sold to just anyone who had the money.
The third was a dog that might
have been fostered forever simply because he was a dark haired pit-bull mix. He
was also born into the dog fighting world with little chance of ever being a
normal dog; he started off with two strikes against him. I am here to tell you
that he IS a Great DOG and I am glad that we were BLESSED to be able to adopt
him! http://bethevoice4thevoiceless.blogspot.com/2014/07/jack-jack-aka-willie-wonka-rescue.html

The fourth rescue (the saddest of
all) a kitten left in a box, only weeks old and no way to help itself, we found
and named “Lucky.” Lucky learned that some people could be nice, because my
daughter saved him that night. We were heart broke to discover that the vet
could not save him, after three days with us he died happy and pain free. http://bethevoice4thevoiceless.blogspot.com/2014/07/kitten-in-box.html
The fifth rescue was an old cat
that just needed to be adopted, she is always hiding and just recently allows
us to pet and love on her (then goes back to hiding under the bed).
The sixth rescue was a kitten
about 5 months old that was left in a material pet carrier on the sidewalk of
an extremely busy intersection, again my daughter saved his life and he is
lucky Louie.
Not every dog or cat will have an
insane story that makes the news or makes it to an FBI agent’s desk, but to
each and every one of them have a story that defines their behavior. Given the
chance we can make them all have happy endings.
My home is full, but if we save
any more lives we will have to turn to the local shelters to take them in. But
we will continue to save, because we know and believe that God gave us these
chances to show that we are good and deserve the life that he has given to us.
To the waste of a life that hurt and abandoned these helpless animals, karma is
your enemy and God will serve you something SPECIAL.
A life is a life and my humanity
decides that it is worth my time and effort to help and save another life. My
heart says that we need to help anyone being that is in need and we all deserve
a chance to live a happy life. God
created us and He created all the creatures around us. They deserve to be noticed
and given a chance at living a life. Love, help, and live always knowing that
even saving one little animal could end up saving yourself and us all.
