Time Stops
Starring out
the window
Time passes
by
The earth
and life continue
Trees move
with the passing wind
Cars pass on
the highway that is behind my yard
Life continues
As the sun
moves across the sky
The shadows
in the yard move to the other side

time has stopped I dare not move
For I might
just miss you

watch trees and cars continue to move
Times seemingly
frozen

stops
I try not to
worry

the traffic stops
It is time
for you to arrive

door with every closing car door

Traffic has

The front
door opens
My fears are
gone when I see your face

me and I jump for joy

taken my fear and dread

dog when you are away

Is time wasted
On wondering

I love my furless parent until the day I die
