On the Edge

On the Edge

On the edge of your seat
On the edge of your chair
On the edge of you day
On the edge of your last nerve
Come home to a furry head resting on your lap
Come home to play and love that all dogs give
Time for bed play is done
Still on the edge
Where you seem to stay
You let the dogs in the bed
Again on the edge
They hog the bed
You remain on the edge
Every day and night
You live on the edge
Only thing left is to love life and live on the edge
                                                                       Of the bed
