Time Stops

Starring out the window

Time passes by

The earth and life continue

Trees move with the passing wind

Cars pass on the highway that is behind my yard

Life continues

As the sun moves across the sky

The shadows in the yard move to the other side

As life continues

Feeling as time has stopped I dare not move

For I might just miss you

I wait and watch trees and cars continue to move

Times seemingly frozen

Where are you

I am frozen time stops

I try not to worry

I know when the traffic stops
